About this Project
Summary
The Commons at Noroton Heights project is situated in an affluent and densely populated area of Fairfield County, Connecticut. More than 300,000 passengers annually use the Noroton Heights Train Station across the street from the project.
The property owners, Federal Realty Investment Trust of North Bethesda, Maryland, envisioned a more vibrant and welcoming space that could serve as a downtown in the Noroton Heights district with locally-inspired architecture, landscaping, and pedestrian-friendly connections to engage the community.
This project consists of two 3-story apartment buildings (totaling 118 units) and restaurant space. The main buildings have residential apartment units on the 2nd and 3rd floors, while the 1st floor is reserved for retail space. This type of split is becoming more and more prevalent, as increased housing creates an innate need for additional shopping facilities.
This project is overseen by A.P. Construction Company a construction management and general contracting firm headquartered in Stamford, CT.
